OT - saving images by
Ralphael1
I frequently copy stamp images from websites and save them to folders
in My Documents.
I have the option of saving as GIF, JPEG or Windows Bitmap. Which of
the three is the preferrred way to go.
What about saving in My Documents? Is there a better way?
Thanks,
Ralphael, the OLD one

(RCSD) Removing Manila Stains... by
[email protected]
Hi -
Is there "any" way, other than bleach, to remove those nasty wasty
manila envelope stains on soaked stamps?
I do know how to soak them - upside down - without any other color
letters in the slush.
Just curious, is all...

(RCSD) USPS Letter Sheets? by
[email protected]
Hi -
Does anyone know what happened to USPS offering letter sheets? I
couldn't find any on their web site. I was looking it up in a few
other places and it has seemed to go the way of the dodo bird.
I have some letter sheets to use up contacting some people overseas
and was hoping I wouldn't be...

Viking art on Irish stamps? by
Rod
It struck me when viewing the so-called
"gerl definitives" of Ireland c1968.
These striking stamp designs were perhaps
influenced by Scandinavian Viking art
of the "Ringerike" style.

Overland Mail
A privately run mail service between England and India

(RCSD) Image search software by
Tony Vella
Some time ago I read about an image-searching software that searches a
computer for an image along the same concept we use to search for files or
words. For example: you take the entire Scott, Gibbons and Yvert
catalogues on Cds and instead of working from the CDs you copy all the pdf
files onto...

(RCSD) World Wide Post ? by
Pierre COURTIADE[_4_]
Everybody knows the World Wide Web.
A few days ago, when receiving the last issue of the 'American
Philatelist' magazine, I noted this amusing label :

I thus realized that the snail mail does not necessarily take the
simplest way to get through.
