Somethng to store/preserve/display paperback books? by
ZigZag Master
Hi,
I was just curious if there is something available to purchase or if you
have any ideas of something that I can craft myself....
I have a few paperback books that I would like to save and keep in as good
shape as I can. Ideally it would be a design that would allow to see the
front and if...

Question for anyone here about online libraries? by
[email protected]
A long time ago someone had told me about some sites where you could
read or download books for free(most in PDF format). Sort of like a
library, though it didn't have an extensive collection. This was about
2-3 yrs ago. Are there still online book websites to download books for
free? If you know...

Transposing dust jackets by
[email protected]
Hi,
I'm a bit new to collecting, so forgive me if this is a bit outrageous. Suppose you had a very special copy of a book, say, with an inscription, but the dust jacket was less than fine. If you were able to acquire another copy of the book of the exact edition, with a perfect dust jacket,...

You gotta pity that poor Dewayne
Kris Baker wrote:
We're not stupid enough to click on that
Yes you are. You live for that stuff. You click on *everything*,
because you have NO LIFE.
What's the matter, your husband left you again?
Poor Dewayne, who can blame him.

Michael Shea's 'Fat Face' by
Yog-Bear
I really enjoyed Michael Shea's story, especially with it's
Lovecraftian mythos connections and my interest in that area. It seems
to have gone though a number of limited editions. The one I have is
denoted 'PC' and was Karl Edward Wagner's personal copy which I
acquired a few years ago. Can anyone...

Viking help please by
Yngvarion
Hi, new boy here,
Could someone point me to somewhere I can interpret the publishers codes for
the UK branch of Viking.
Google has not been my friend.
I have picked up a copy of Satanic Verses and am not sure if it is a 1st 1st
or just a 1st. Not the worlds most valuable book I know but I would...

Pest Control in Books by
yipwon
I thought I would present the results of my simple experiments with
"natural" pest control in some of my books.
I have some of my good books in an old glass fronted bookcase. Occasionally
I noticed silverfish in some of the books - not really an infestation but
certainly something to worry...

Help needed. by
xmen
Man oh man do I need an enema!!!
I've been blocked up for almost 2 weeks!
I'm afraid that **** is going to start coming out of my ears if I don't take
a dump soon.
My question is: Do you think I should take a regular enema or a high
colonic?
Thanks for your help.
