Parmelee Auction Fistfight and RCC by
Mike Marotta
I read the two related threads "Missing Old Friends" and "Old Times"
several times each over the past few days. It is true that you have
to have a thick skin to participate here. For myself, there are other
venues. Last month, I sent an article to THE CELATOR about medieval
Champagne (the place,...

Old times by

We used to have a lot of fun here on RCC. We had our own money, Sparks
and flames and etc. We had annual gift exchanges, and the RCC mint coin
tours. Most of all we had information and family values.

Now we have flames, trolls, and general...

Missing old friends by
Jud
I have been thinking about some of the 'old' RCC folks that we don't
see anymore. Larry Loucks comes to mind, with his frequent posts and
holiday 'swaps'. Too bad nobody has continued them. I also would like
to see my friends Ian Milne and Jeff Ralph do some more posting! Miss
you guys, and others...

Fine coins cause bomb scare by
Arizona Coin Collector
Hello
I am not sure the size of the UK 10p coin. I
think that would only be three rolls of coins.
This was received in a package. That would be
300, 10p coins to pay the fine.
It's not funny, but I would bet someone would
try to do the same thing here in the United
States.

Coin ID needed - possibly Egyptian??? by

Not found by me, but saw it posted on a MD forum I frequent.
If I did a correct translation for the date (left side, about middle
on the reverse), it looks like 1938.
Tried googling to no...

Washing Coins - Cheap And Circulation by
Coffee's For Closers
Lke many collectors, I take items out of circulation, and also
buy some cheap circulated items.
Some brass and copper coins of recent vintage are still shiny.
And I want to keep them that way.
My current idea is just to give them about ten seconds or so of
water under the kitchen tap.
I am...

KRAUSE - 2008 Standard Catalog of WORLD COINS - 3 volumes on 3 DVDs by
martiny
Dear Co-Collector
Very interesting.
It's easy to take it with you everywhere. You don't need to carry kilos of
paper.
It concerns PDF-files, easy to handle, to print, to search.
I don't use that catalog anymore. Have it for sale at Ebay for those
interested within the European Union...
