Macao Cancel On Hong Kong Stamp by [email protected]
Howdy Do - Riddle me this... How can a Hong Kong stamp be used in Macao? A clear sock on the nose cancel. The only reason that I can come up with is that it was a "skip" in Hong Kong and cancelled in Macao. -OR- is there a "Macao" post office on the island of Hong Kong?

Old Stamps - Were Overprints Used Like Perfins? by [email protected]
Howdy Do - Question for the masters here - Back in the mid - late 1800s, were company name overprints used like perfins? So, for instance, B & C Co. was overprinted instead of punched in with dots into a stamp?

Another Philippine query by Jack
The stamp on the left in: http://cjoint.com/data/fotDxEB058.htm appears to fit the description for Scotts O56 - 550, overprinted with the 14 mm type "e". The overprint on the right one doesn't seem to be listed. It is consistent with overprint style "f" - 15 mm width, smaller print - but without...

Scott Catalog Help please by Ralphael1
While working some Tonga stamps I ran into a problem. I have a 1"1d 1962 round airmail stamp. My 2003 Scott catalog mentions this denomination in the heading of the first Airmail issue, 1963, July 15 but does not give it a number nor is there any missing numbers in the listing. Anyone have a clue?...
