Stamp Albums by
Grandpa
You all knew this was coming, right? I'm not asking what the 'best' is
as that is always open to opinions and besides, I despise those "best"
threads. I expect each album has it's own yea's and nay's, but I am
interested in your thoughts of an album type/mfgr (if I decide not to
make my own which...

What is the term for: by
Steve
Is there a proper term for when a perferation is made, but
not all the way through? I have a few pairs inwhich the
the whole perferation lines are there, it's just indented and the
holes are complete?
So I know it's not an imperferation. Is there a good term?
Thanks
Steve

storage question -- please advise by
c3dy8911r
Hello All,
I inherited two large stamp albums (cardboard pages, mostly no plastic
covers) with stamps from various countries, most of which are 40-100
years old.
Do you suggest I remove the stamps from their original books (many are
simple attached with stamp hinges) and put them in newer albums,...

Time for a change by
Mette
After nearly 5 years online it's time for a change.
My old site "Travelling the World on Art Stamps"
will not be continued (but will remain online for a
little while before being taken down for good). It
has reincarnated as "Art History on Stamps". The
first beginning is available...

Definitives - GB - Continued with QEII by
Tracy Barber
QEII Wildings ...
GB's definitives are notorious for varieties. Many different perfs,
watermarks, printers and so forth for any particular issue. The
Machins will speak for themselves. They have been talked about here
and are represented heavily - so I leave that to the Machin Maniacs.

Atlantis postmark by
Tom Loepp
I have a cover postmarked from Atlantis October 23rd 1933. The stamp
is an upside down triangle with a Neptune like character holding a
trident in the amount of 7 Skaloj and 75 Skaloj. Were these postmarked
above ocean, on a ship, or seaside? Any help is appreciated.

Philatelists' Blindness -- TV Programme by
Rodney
I have some "let out clause" with my latest effort.
I knew the stamp in question was a newspaper stamp
and so looked back of book.
The overprint was not a surcharge but regarded by Gibbons as a plebiscite issue,
and consequently placed in issue order.
Hence, I think I can wriggle out of my mistake...

I have a stamp that has all the appearance of being an Essay type E1. Big

I've published a new web page, based on my "find" a few years ago of an old
Jamestown Stamp Company approval glassine, sans stamps. I found an r.c.s.d.
member who could supply two sets of the stamps that were originally in the
envelope, and I now have them in my album, and on the internet. See...

I have a WWI "Feldpostbrief" cover which I understand in general, but not in

Early football heroes stamps by
Heroes... Not! "Early Footbal Stars"... better title. I hate this hero
this and hero that. The word is misused to make a person who is a genuine
hero dimished and neglible. I bet Bob Ingram would second that.

destroyed? Just...
