PArker Ellipse: Comments from users would be appreciated by
JCC
I did not find much on this pen in the archives. If those of you who
have one would comment, I'd appreciate it. Is thispen reliable? Are
the nibs generally smooth, or broad or what...
Any idea why it is being taken off the market? Problems?
thank you, JCC

Brassing? by
Jack Harrell
I recently picked up an old Parker Vacumatic and I've found I really like
the style of these old pens. The clip, however, looks fairly tarnished
which I guess is what you call "brassing." Is there a good way to clean the
clip or is this a permanent change of color?

2 pierre cardin fountain pens by
Andrea Chen
I have two pierre cardin fountain pens, new in box. They are a
mottled dark red with a yellow gold clip and point. The body is
slender, about 1.2 cm diameter, has a pierre cardin signature. The
cap is also straight until the end which sort of mushrooms out a bit
but the top is flat. The point...

http://www.businessweek.com/magazine/content/03_05/b3818001.htm
There is an ad with a black fountain pen for Hyatt and American
Express. If you don't see it at first try reloading the page.
If you can get it to load, can you tell me if the pen is a namiki
falcon?
Looks like it but the distinctive...

Hello Group,
I am a newbie in the world of pens. I just bought a Faber-Castell
silver plated ball point pen. The salesperson said I should polish it
with a cloth every now and then. My question/concern is with regards
to the silver plating. How durable is it? Should I go with the

Waterman Phileas at Swisher's by
svejk
The Waterman Phileas is probably the most recommended pen for
beginners. I do not own one but many people who know a lot more than
I do about FPs have given them their approval. Swishers has new, old
stock Phileas fountain pens for $22.95, compared to $33.88 for current
stock (convertor included...

Noodler's Equivalent To Shaeffer Scrip Blue Ink? by
Jeremy
After reading all the positive comments about Noodler's black ink, I am
going to give it a try. I'm intrigued by the fact that the ink is more
impervious to water than are all the others.
Does Noodler make a blue that has similar characteristics? I am quite happy
with the translucent, Wedgwood...

Anyone remember PiP SQUIRT pens from the 80's? Trying to find some info. by
427Cobra
Hi all,
I couldn't believe there is no info on this "toy" pen anywhere on the
net. I was cleaning out the ol' basement and found mine from ages
ago. It's missing the cap and will need a refill, but it still
squirts like it did when I was soaking my little sister and brother
with it! :) It's not...
