MS65? by
Bruce Remick
No distracting marks? Can you say "please dip me"? Or something.
Personally, I'd like a bit more eye appeal in my MS65's. I presume PCGS's
"market grading" didn't apply...

Lion dollar from Kampen by
Reid Goldsborough[_2_]
Recently picked up a Dutch lion dollar/leeuwendaalder. It's from Kampen
but it's undated. I looked through Davenport's European crowns 1484-1600
and Davenport 8882 appears to be my coin, from Kampen and undated, which
Davenport dates 1597. Anybody happen to know if this coin must therefore
have...

Looking for 2009 Australian silver Ox bullion coins by
davewang202
It's been a while since I've had time to visit this group, and just
about as long since I've looked at coins and bullion market. The last
time I bought and sold some silver, it was $6/ounce! Anyways, I am
looking to purchase a few ounces of silver for my niece. Can someone
recommend a good...

Rarity of clover-holed tokens by
Brainstormer
When I first got this, I didn't know what the scarcity of the clover
shape hole was,
but I thought it might be a common pattern.
But when I did a search, I didn't find too many, so just checking
here.
Here is my example:

An Owl for Anka by
Reid Goldsborough
Things are a mess around here, in a funny kind of way. Here's my own
little contribution to substance. I'm going to have to show off a bit,
but unapologetically, and unavoidably. This could also be educational,
and fun. Or not.
OK, Anka, and anybody else who'd like to respond. I know you...

Is "Sealed mint box" a big joke? by
Johnny Doe
I have bought quite a few modern US uncirculated sets, both from eBay
sellers selling as 'sealed mint box' and directly from the mint.
What I have found is that nearly all of the sealed mint box eBay
purchases have had sub-par, highly bag marked coins, while the ones
purchased directly from the...

Coin value history by
BigDog
Just wondering if there is someplace on the net that would give the
historical grey sheet prices of Morgans for the last few years? Would
like to compare todays price against a year, 5 years, etc. ago. If
not grey sheet prices, at least average retail value.
If any of my fellow RCC'ers now...

Grading Companies by
RWF
Of the eBay accepted coin graders (PCGS; NGC; ANACS; ICG) do you find
that some are better for a certain series of coins than their
competitors?
Of course, for Canadian coins I prefer ICCS.

Brandenburg-Bayreuth Experts? by
Jud
I recently bought a collection of world coins that included a large
number of coins from the German State Brandenburg-Bayreuth, and a few
from Brandenburg-Ansbach, mostly from 1698-1714. I don't have a
reference that goes back that far. Anyone out there know about this
realm of collecting? If so, I...

Best current grading service by
Sara Brown
Hello. I use to be heavily involved in coin collecting long ago but
slowly moved away from the hobby. I sold most of my stuff but kept a
few favorites. I have an 1877 Indian Head cent that is probably VG8 or
10 condition and is problem free..I would like to get it professionaly
graded and...
