The psychology of buying coins by
Dale Hallmark
I notice that when I have 10 or 20 dollars in paypal I find coins I want in
a heartbeat.
Usually for a couple dollars more than I have.
When I have over a $100 in paypal (doesn't happen often) I am reluctant to
buy anything.
I find a nice coin and think...nah I don't really need that one....and...

The Space Boss
When I was growing up, I learned a lot about coins from a kid 3 doors
down from me who was much older. I remember he told me 3 things that
stood out:
#1) You could discern a date on a buffalo nickel by applying acid (and
you guys have conformed this is TRUE, all these years I thought it...

OT - It Was Only a Matter of Time... by
[email protected]
The country that lent its name to the "Nigerian Money Scams" has a new
partner. Today I received my first money scam letter from LIBYA, using
the same modus operandi as its famous Nigerian relatives. A little
diplomatic recognition can go a long way.

Old Messages by
A.E. Gelat
Does anyone know how to contact rec.collecting.xxxx and tell them to stop
sending old messages. The past two weeks have been a real horror, hundreds
of them, some as old as five weeks.

Cuba opens numismatic museum in Havana by
stonej
Found this in a long article about Castro's personal wealth (or lack of
it depending on who
you want to believe). This museum apparently got no news coverage, at
