Ike dollars, still out there(and being used)... by

Went to my bank today and noticed that the teller had about 14 Ikes sitting
in her tray. I asked her if people are still using them much nowadays and
she said lately they have been. She told me most of the time it's elderly
folk coming in with them while wearing suspenders...to help hold the...

OT; What to do???
This has some money into it so it is a bit relevant.
The President, the First Lady and Dick Cheney are flying on Air Force One.
George looks at Laura, chuckles, and says, "You know, I could throw a $1,000 bill out the window right now and make somebody very happy." Laura shrugs...

Displaying & Storing by

I have some 75+ coins, tokens, medals, plaques, and other items depicting
Abraham Lincoln. I've been considering buying a shadow box to display some or
all of it, or simply putting some or most of if on ebay as a collection and
letting it go. Before I do that I need to get ahold of the Baker...

Wisconsin quarter found with 122 degree die rotation by
frank wight
I visted the merchant banker at my local
Bank of America. I gave her $50 and
received my five rolls.
Back at the house I was opening the rolls
and discovered the rotated die coin in
the third roll. After double-checking
all the other coins, I went to bed.
Next day I visited five B of A branches

Why isn't the Red Book more user friendly? by
frank wight
When I open the Red Book at the local library
I find that the highest grade of Kennedy halves
is MS-63. When I look at the 'price' for such
coins, its all the same fixed price for almost
all the listed dates.
MS-63 is can be an ugly looking coin that nobody takes
much pride in---or could care...

mint policy by
James Higby
The mint itself doesn't replace damaged coins. Generally one can turn them
in to a bank, or better yet, force the issue by spending them or putting
them in a vending machine or toll basket.

Is there a website that lists the known State Quarters errors or

Dontcha just love those price guides? [long] by
James Higby
As a copper enthusiast I was intrigued by the appearance of a 1793 Liberty
Cap large cent recently on eBay. The coin is encapsulated by PCGS as G-4.
It is a Sheldon variety 13, and its rarity is given as R-4, meaning that up
to 200 of this variety may survive. I then did some research in...
