Hawaii Comm. at $125.... in 1956 by
JSTONE9352
I noticed while looking through a copy of Numismatic Scrapbook from Sept. 1956
that Bebee's had a Choice Br. Unc. at $125.
That was the highest priced commemorative coin they had
for sale.
Someone just bought one at the ANA, at a much much higher
price I am sure. How times have changed.

Jersey and Guernsey coins by
Dik T. Winter
I do not know how many people are interested (but I know that at least
one person is), but here some information about the circulation and
availability of coins (and sets) from those countries (based on my visit
there; I am back a few days now).
The countries use coins of the same size and value...

Different Lincoln cent materials tried in 1974? by
Rold
I've read in several places that the mint tried using different
materials for the 1973/1974 lincoln cent. The only materials I've
read about are aluminum and I think bronze-clad steel. I've also read
that the mint actually made them illegal to possess in the 90s. I
haven't been able to get a...

His response to my email was:

Just like your social security number, specific coin numbers should
ALWAYS be kept confidential, and I wish more people would do it. Face
it - you already KNOW that it's an 1880-CC in MS65 by the...

Pictures on eBay by
DARTORREY
When I'm searching for coins on eBay it always amazes me that some of the
pictures of coins that should bring high dollar amounts are so bad. Here's an
example:

Hook em when their young. by
Aladdin Sane
People at work know that I collect coins.
On Wednesday, one of the guys at work, a real family man, told me that his
daughter had come to him on Tuesday night and asked him to help her look at
coins on the internet. He proceeded to tell me how they spent a couple
hours just searching about on...

One more question for the group--help if you can! by
IWCFVB
I'm looking to liquidate some of my coin collection and am wondering what the
best way to go about getting rid of the "lesser" stuff is (I know what to do
with the valuable stuff!). Specifically:
1. Wheat pennies. If I sell them in bulk, how much over face value should I
try and get? Are there...

No demand for foreign albums/folders? by
Sleestak
This is a followup to my post bemoaning the unavailability of foreign
albums and folders. Apparently the demand isn't high enough.
However, whenever they do come up on eBay, used ones go for more than
new ones, and new old stock goes for double. While searching Google
for any being sold off...
